Kids Tell The Story- MOR Go Pro Giveaway

Looking for a cool way to document your summer adventure? How about using a Go Pro? At every Midwest Outdoor Resorts location, we are giving kids (ages 7-17) the chance to get creative! Kids can check out a Go Pro from the front desk of each resort for 45 minutes as long as they are accompanied by a BIG CAMPER (adult). Go Pros are an awesome way for kids to showcase their filmmaking skills and use their imagination to create amazing vacation videos!

The really cool thing is that we’re giving kids the chance to win their very own Go Pro Hero 5 camera! When kid campers return their Go Pro, a MOR employee will upload the footage and send it to our corporate office. If it’s good enough, that footage could be seen in an upcoming Midwest Outdoor Resorts commercial! When kids submit their video, they’ll be entered in a drawing to win a Go Pro Hero 5 camera and Go Pro Grab Bag!

So everyone gets a fair shot at winning, each kid gets one checkout and one upload per week from June-October (the MOR camping season). The winner will be drawn in October of 2017. Just so you’re aware, the Go Pros are expensive, and while they’re capable of going a lot of places (like underwater!), they can also be broken. The child and adult will need to sign a waiver that they’re responsible for any lost or damaged equipment so other people get a chance to win.

If you’ve never used a Go Pro, you’re missing out. They can be used in all kinds of unique ways, and can make relatively boring things look really cool. Try taking the Go Pro underwater while swimming, or make a gorgeous time-lapse video of the sunset. How about a slow-motion canoeing movie, or a half-underwater fishing film? The possibilities are endless! We’re excited to see what MOR’s campgrounds look like through your eyes. Have fun this summer, and as always, happy exploring!
